Donaghadee 5k race
Set your alarms folks. Its nearly time. The famous donaghadee 5K is open for entries on Saturday 11th April at 8am. I imagine it will sell out quickly as entries are capped at 375. We ask kindly that any members of the dee runners do not enter the race as on the night its all hands on deck to help marshal. The following Wednesday ( 29th July) we will all run the 5K route as a club and still receive the beautiful medal too. The entry link is: https://deerunners.com/donaghadee-5k
Park Run
Huge congratulations to Gary Rolston who ran his 150th park run at Comber! Fun fact. 150 X 5 = 750K = 466 miles. 466 divided by 26.2 = 17.8 marathons at park run! Only 100 more runs Gary until you receive the famous green tee-shirt that every park runner dreams off.
Special mention to Amy Burns who was in Portland, America on holiday and still managed to fit in a park run – fantastic effort! I’m sure the weather was a lot more pleasant than the Northern Ireland rain we received on Saturday.
