What an amazing weekend of running for the fab dee runners.
Races
Our well travelled Dee runner Neil Martin was at it again- this weekend he was in Bratislava. Not content with just one challenge, Neil took on two races: the 10K and the half Marathon. An incredible effort and a true testament to his dedication and endurance. Brilliant running Neil.
Andy Payne was taking on the Larne 10 miler on Saturday which took place along the beautiful Antrim Coast road. A very impressive chip time of 1.35.09. Superb running Andy.
We also had John Pugh and Andy Dainty running the Pat Dunbar Memorial mountain race which was a 13km course with a 682m of ascent. This race includes a whole variety of terrain from paths, wall crossings and open hillside. Amazing running times of 1.34 from John and 1.53 from Andy from a very tough and hilly course.
Park Run
Well-done to 7 dee runners who were either at Bangor or Comber this weekend. Glad to see at Bangor park run, Will Robinson getting his shout out for his 150th park run. Well done Will, only 100 more runs untill the big green teeshirt!

Don’t forget our social runs take place on a Monday at 6pm meeting at the slipway, running a very steady and slow pace of a 5k loop around the Dee. (Always check the group chat first to double check it is on). Also, our Strength and Conditioning class runs every Tuesday night 6.15-7pm at glow up gym in Bangor. Everyone is most welcome.
