Races

Race 6 out of 10 in the hill and dales series took place on 21st May at Lukes – Meelmore Lodge. A 7k race with a 500m climb. Well done Andy Dainty finishing the race in 58.48 knocking 6 minutes of last years’ time. What a massive improvement and shows all the hard work has paid off. 🎉

Huge congratulations to Neil Martin for taking on a 5k race and then coming back the next day to complete a marathon in Cape town. It took Neil just under 6 hours to complete his 10th marathon. An inspiring effort and a reminder that perseverance matters far more than pace. Remarkable achievement Neil 💙

Husband and wife duo Gary and Cara were racing the 10K at the may fair race in Ballyclare at the weekend. Both ran super with strong finishing times of 48.12 and 56.13. Well done! 🏅🏅

Park Run

Well done to 8 Dee Runners this week at park run especially Peter on his PB at Comber. Amazing running Peter.  Special mention goes to Mark Finlay for his volunteering at Bangor this weekend and to pacer Will pacing 23 mins and coming in at bang on 23 mins!

 Our last Strength and Conditioning class is this Tuesday night (26th June) 6.15-7pm at glow up gym in Bangor. NEW PLAN —- Starting the following Tuesday (2nd June) we will have a S and C class at Infinity Gym in Bangor from 7.15 – 8.00pm. £5 per head or if you are already a member at Infinity Gym then its £3. Everyone is most welcome 💙
