On Thursday it was the last race in the Hill and Dale series. Andy Dainty finished an outstanding 147th overall, a remarkable improvement on last year’s 224th place. He also achieved an excellent 9th place in his age category that reflects all his hard work and dedication. John Pugh also joined Andy for several mountain running events through out the year and hopefully they’ll inspire even more Dee Runners to give it a try next year and see what they can achieve.

On Friday four courageous Dee Runners took on the notoriously tough Ards’s half marathon – a course that can only be described as hill after hill after hill! Despite the relentless climbs and the hot conditions, Rach, Paul Dave and Will produced superb performances, showing great determination from start to finish. Well done everyone and what a lovely funny tee shirt to have received too!

On Saturday Neil Martin was on his travels once again, this time heading to Budapest to take on a challenging 10.5km race. Battling temperatures of 28°C Neil put in another fantastic effort despite the heat. A huge well-done Neil 🎉

We have Monday social runs at 6pm meeting at the slipway suitable for all paces and abilities. On Tuesday we will have our Strength and Conditioning class at Infinity Gym in Bangor from 7.15 – 8.00pm. £5 per head or if you are already a member at Infinity Gym then its £3. Everyone is most welcome.
