Another very busy weekend for the Dee Runners team!

Races

Our famous Dee jet setter Neil Martin was off on his running travels again this time to Lithuania to take part in the half marathon. Neil says it was one of his favourite runs with it being a flat course, perfect weather and well organised. Fantastic running Neil. 🩵🎉

A huge well done to Lewis Getty who took on Rock the Lough 10K in Craigavon. Lewis put in a fantastic performance, finishing in 54:38. Great running!🎉

Michael Boyd took on the tremendous challenge of the New Forest marathon in Hampshire with a phenomenal time of 3:26:30. This is an absolutely outstanding performance – top 10% of all male runners and the top 10% in the M50 age category. Huge congratulations Michael!🩵🎉

A fantastic girl’s trip to Newcastle for the AJ Bell Great North Run 2026 with Fionna and Ali taking on the iconic 13.1 mile challenge and Diane joining them to provide fantastic support from the sidelines, Both Fiona and Ali ran brilliantly putting in strong performances and crossing the finish line together with an impressive time of 2:09:53. A terrific time in such a huge event of around 60,000 runners taking part in one of the most famous and popular half marathons.🤩

On Sunday we had the beautiful local clandeboye 10K hilly trail race which is not for the faint hearted with 10 Dee members taking part. Some seriously impressive performances – well done to you all.🩵🩵
